Downtown Albany Branch

The 1,100 square foot space accommodates a single banking pod, Pioneer Shops, a conference room, manager’s station and all back-of-house services.

The Albany branch is a scaled-down version of Pioneer’s new boutique banking concept and occupies a prominent corner in a historic building in downtown Albany. The new LED sign is reminiscent of the original ticker that once displayed breaking news headlines. The replaced glass storefront, brightens the space, and encourages passers-by to stop and notice this branch, which is unlike any other in the region.

New Banking Concept

Multiple Locations in the Capital Region, New York

Bank, Shop and Ship!

MEMASI Managing Partner Mesiti-Ceas spearheaded the reinvention of the banking experience with Pioneer Bank. The concept was originally conceived for the downtown Albany branch but was first implemented at the Clifton Park branch, and then translated to multiple branches across the Capital Region.

Focused on a more customer friendly banking experience between bank associates and customers, the design introduces associate pods in lieu of the traditional teller lines and new customer amenities including Pioneer Shops, coffee and waiting area, UPS shipping and digital bar.
